Registering a domain name is the first step to building your online presence. Whether you want a country-specific address like .ae for the United Arab Emirates, or a global extension like .com or .me, AEserver makes the process straightforward. As an ICANN and AEDA accredited registrar, AEserver allows instant online registration without paperwork, and the entire checkout takes just a few minutes.
This guide walks you through every screen you will see, every option you can tick, and every field you need to fill, so you can finish registration with confidence even if you have never bought a domain before.
Part 1: Search for Your Domain Name #
Visit AEserver and enter your domain name #
Open your browser and go to https://stagev2.aeserver.com. On the homepage you will see the .ae Domain Registration section with a large search bar at the bottom labeled yourdomainname.ae.
Type the name you want to register into the search box. A few rules to keep in mind:
- Do not include
http://,https://, orwww. - You can type just the name (for example
mybusiness) and AEserver will check the .ae extension by default - Or include the extension you want (for example
mybusiness.com,mybusiness.me) - Only letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed, no spaces or special characters
When you are ready, click the red Search button.
Check availability and click “Add to Cart” #
After you click Search, AEserver takes you to the Register Domain page with the results. If your chosen name is free, you will see a confirmation in green:
yourdomainname.ae is available.
Right below that, the price for a 1-year registration is shown, along with an Add to Cart button. Click it to reserve the domain.
Just below the main result, you will notice a row of alternative extensions (TLDs) for the same name. This is useful if your preferred extension is taken, or if you want to grab multiple versions of the name to protect your brand. Current pricing for the most popular TLDs on AEserver:
| Extension | Price (1 Year) | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| .ae | AED 125.00 | Businesses targeting the UAE market |
| .me | AED 25.00 | Personal blogs and portfolios |
| .it.com | AED 55.00 | Tech brands and global alternative to .com |
| .bh | AED 169.00 | Bahrain-based businesses |
| .qa | AED 75.00 | Qatar-based businesses |
| .shop | AED 170.50 | E-commerce stores |
Part 2: Configure Your Domain #
Click “Checkout” to proceed #
Once you click Add to Cart, the button immediately changes to a blue Checkout button (with a small cart icon), and the cart counter in the top right of the page updates to show one item. The .ae card in the TLD row also switches to a “Checkout” label, confirming the domain is now in your cart.
If you want to register more than one domain (for example, to own both the .ae and .com versions of your brand), do not click Checkout yet. Instead, click Add next to each additional extension you want, and only then continue. When you are ready, click the blue Checkout button.
Choose registration period, add-ons, and nameservers #
The next page is Domains Configuration. This is where you fine-tune your order before paying. You will see the domain you selected at the top, followed by four main options.
🗓️ Registration Period #
By default, most domains are registered for 1 Year. For many TLDs you can also select 2, 3, 5, or up to 10 years in the dropdown. Registering for multiple years is convenient because you will not need to worry about renewals, and some extensions occasionally offer small discounts for multi-year terms.
🛡️ DNS Management (Paid Add-on) #
The first checkbox is DNS Management, priced at AED 5.00 / 1 Year. This enables AEserver’s external DNS hosting, which can speed up DNS resolution for your website and improve availability through added redundancy across multiple name servers.
✉️ Email Forwarding (Free) #
The second checkbox is Email Forwarding, which is FREE for 1 year. With this enabled, you can create forwarding addresses like hello@yourdomainname.ae that automatically forward any incoming mail to an existing inbox (for example your personal Gmail). You can monitor everything from a single account without setting up a full mailbox.
🌐 Nameservers #
At the bottom of the page you will see five Nameserver fields. By default, AEserver fills in the first three with its own servers:
| Nameserver | Value |
|---|---|
| Nameserver 1 | dns1.aeserver.com |
| Nameserver 2 | dns2.aeserver.com |
| Nameserver 3 | dns3.aeserver.com |
Leave these defaults as they are if you plan to host your website or email with AEserver, or if you are not sure. You can always change them later from your client area.
If you already have hosting elsewhere (for example on Cloudflare, AWS, DigitalOcean, or another provider), clear these fields and enter the nameservers your hosting provider gave you instead.
Once you are happy with the configuration, click the blue Continue button at the bottom of the page to proceed to checkout.
Part 3: Review and Complete Your Order #
Review your order and apply a promo code #
The Review & Checkout page summarizes what you are about to buy. On the left you will see the product details, on the right the order totals including VAT.
Things to double-check here:
- The domain name is spelled exactly how you want it (there is an Edit link next to it if you need to go back)
- The registration period matches what you selected (shown in the small dropdown on the right, for example “1 Year”)
- The renewal price, shown just below the first-year price, so there are no surprises next year
- The Order Summary panel on the right with Subtotal, UAE VAT at 5%, and the final Total Due Today
If you have a promo code, enter it in the “Apply Promo Code” field and click Validate Code. A confirmation message will show you how much was discounted.
When you are ready, click the green Checkout button in the Order Summary panel to continue.
Fill in your details and complete payment #
The final Checkout page is a single long form. It looks like a lot at first, but most of it is standard information you would fill in for any online purchase. If you already have an AEserver account, click Already Registered? at the top right to log in and skip most of this form.
Here is what each section asks for, from top to bottom:
Sign Up (Optional Shortcut) #
You can click Sign in with Google to auto-fill your name and email from your Google account, which saves a bit of typing. You will still need to fill in address and phone number.
Personal Information #
| Field | What to Enter |
|---|---|
| First Name / Last Name | Your legal name as it appears on your ID |
| Email Address | A valid inbox you check regularly, this is where renewal notices and domain authorization emails are sent |
| Phone Number | Select your country code from the flag dropdown, then enter the number without spaces or the leading zero |
Billing Address #
Fill in your company name (optional if you are registering as an individual), street address, city, state or emirate, postcode, and country. These details are used for invoicing and must match your payment method’s billing address.
Additional Information #
Two important fields appear here for UAE customers:
- UAE TRN, your Tax Registration Number. If your company is VAT-registered in the UAE, enter the TRN to make sure your invoice is VAT-compliant. If you are not registered for VAT, leave this blank.
- Account Type, choose Individual Account if you are buying for yourself, or Business Account if you are purchasing on behalf of a company.
- How did you find us?, a quick dropdown for marketing purposes, pick whichever source applies.
Domain Registrant Information #
This section lets you set different contact details for the domain’s public WHOIS record, separate from your billing details. For most people, the default option “Use Default Contact (Details Above)” is fine, just leave it as is.
You only need to change this if you are registering a domain on behalf of a separate person or legal entity whose details should appear in WHOIS.
Account Security #
Create a password for your new AEserver account, or click Generate Password to have one created for you. A strength meter underneath shows how secure the password is.
Below that, pick a security question from the dropdown and enter your answer. This is used to verify your identity if you ever need to recover your account.
Payment Details #
Choose how you want to pay:
| Method | Details |
|---|---|
| Credit / Debit Cards | Visa, Mastercard, American Express. Google Pay is also supported for supported cards. Instant activation. |
| PayPal | Pay with your PayPal balance or linked card. You will be redirected to log in, then returned automatically. |
| Bank Transfer (UAE / Swift) | Manual transfer from your UAE bank or international Swift. Your domain is activated once the payment is verified, which can take 1 to 3 business days. |
If you pick Credit/Debit, enter your card number, expiry date (MM/YY), and CVV/CVC2. Optionally, give this card a nickname so you can recognize it in your account later (useful if you plan to save multiple cards).
Complete Your Order #
Tick the checkbox “I have read and agree to the Terms of Service”, then click the blue Complete Order button.
That is it. For credit card and PayPal payments, your domain is usually active within a few minutes. You will receive a welcome email with your invoice and a link to log in to your client area.
What Happens Next #
After a successful payment, AEserver sends you a confirmation email with your invoice and domain activation details. From your client area you can:
- Manage DNS records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT)
- Change nameservers if you decide to host somewhere else
- Set up email forwarding addresses
- Enable auto-renew so the domain never expires accidentally
- Update WHOIS contact information
- Transfer the domain to another registrar if needed
For .ae domains specifically, there is no separate trademark or trade-license verification step, .ae is open to any person or business globally and activates instantly after payment.
